Isa Gelb is a french graphic designer/artistic director based in Paris (France), a film photographer and the founder/curator/designer of Underdogs, an independant photography magazine.
“I don’t like calling myself a photographer. According to my photo idols and references, I’m setting the bar too high and I know I will never reach it. I rather like to say that I have cameras and take pictures. It sums up very well how I approach photography. I don’t try or want to document anything. I just take photos because it makes me feel alive and attentive to my surroundings. I’m not trying to create ‘art’ either. Although I have my own personal likes and influences, I don’t have an aesthetic program.” “I see, I snap, I move on’ is my approach to photography.”
